Blog Assignment 7

In 2005/2006, MySpace was one the most popular social websites in the world. Almost everyone who owned a computer had a MySpace, from celebrities, to children, to parents. MySpace was somewhere people who go to chat, vent, entertain, and socialize. Now it has become a major failure. A question in mind, how did MySpace become so unsuccessful?
It seems that the entire site has been taken over my marketers, promoters, and others who intentionally harass and spam users. They create these fake profiles as a disguise to “meet new people” or “make friends”. There has been numerous complaints about not being able to login because of a pop up saying “you are already logged in.” Also complaints about how slow uploading pictures and videos has become.
Overall, I think MySpace users have gotten bored with the background posting, sending gifts, and the endless music playing.. MySpace has grew old and everyone just grew out of it. Even though the producers of MySpace have recently been making changes to improve the website’s content I still don’t think it will ever be as appealing as it was several years ago especially since everyone has jumped on the FaceBook and Twitter bandwagon.
